This 223 page book allows a glimpse into the life of a soldier, his wife and their family and friends and what their daily lives were like during the tumultuous times of World War II. While the letters were censored, the reader is able to see what was going on "back home" in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Wapakoneta, Ohio, and how lives were impacted while the men were away. The diary, however, gives a different voice, through the perspective of a technician in the 418th Rader Counter Measures of the 8th Air Force, 100th Bomb Group.
